pretty in pink
Nicholas Kirkwood and Camilla Skovgaard know exactly how to get any self-respecting ferocious betch to wear pink shoes.
deep breaths...
Okay, I think I am officially done with summer clothes. When an article of clothing manages to clear out your brain of every other covetable object, then it's time to start saving up those pennies.
The winter outerwear the world has been waiting for is available for purchase. Jil Sander FW08. I have not seen a tweed jacket of such perfection. Is it possible that my FW07 neon tweed boucle' Balenciaga holy grail has been upstaged??

retro-futurism..
In case I haven't mentioned it yet, I study mechanical engineering. This morning I turned in a paper that I had stayed up late last night writing, and after trawling through billions of science articles to find what I wanted I pretty much had my fill of everything mechanical for a few days at least.
I found these illustrations earlier today and they did the trick to revive my love for aesthetically-pleasing machinery.
How amazing did the future use to be!? all these drawings were created in the 1960's-70's.
by Klaus Bürgle
More... not sure if the artist is the same. Beautiful use of color!
*sigh* driver, bring the hovercraft around, please. I think I feel a shopping craving coming on.

JJ in motion
hey guys... this is me today. the BF captured the silliness that is me on my bike. This bike was sold to me by an old man while I was wandering around in the Monday market... he asked if I was interested in buying a bike and I said yes (I really was, but a lot of them were out of my budget). He said "look, I will sell you this bike for 25 euros. It belonged to my sister who died a few months ago, it's been in the garage for ages and no one uses it." I was like, you got yourself a deal my man. I sped off after handing him the cash, happy as a clam!
bonus pic of my gladiators.

Alber for Acne
I had no idea what to expect when I heard this collab was coming up. I was afraid of being disappointed (like when I saw the Alaia for Seven jeans collab... a world of no), but Alber churned out impressively chic pieces. Look at that volume and structure! Perfect proportions all around. Nipped waists, exaggerated sleeves and slim-but-not-skinny pants. IN DENIM!
Look at that denim jacket, please. I am extremely picky about denim jackets. Up till now the only ones that are acceptable in my book are DRKSHDW ones, but I guess they're gonna need to make space for one more. Beautiful tailoring but not too fussy.
It's carefree glamour, and it's kind of a big deal.
from fashionweekdaily:
The jeans line will range from $550 to $650, while coats will run $1,200 to $1,500. Jewelry and handbags are expected to be priced north of $1,500.
AY DIOS MIO! and you though all high-end designer/affordable brand collabs were for us common folk?
O HAI DERE
Today I am wearing my BF's undershirt, a made-to-measure denim skirt and the usual busted-up supergas. I inserted an elastic into the hem of the undershirt and now I wear it all twisted up. It's beauuutifully soft and get this.. it has no side seams! This makes it drape amazingly (see Rick Owens and The Row tees with a single back seam). I can't believe it only cost him 5 euros.
(here I stole the bf's cardi for some oversized-ness)
Here are some pics of me wearing my python pouchette... I decided to add a little chain to give it a bit more personality.

Hey everyone, sorry for the post-hiatus... I was having a bit of writer's block!
I am so happy because two days ago I bought one of my holy grails... a Nikon D40 camera. I have been wanting a DSLR for awhile and this is the perfect entry-level one...I have much to learn about taking the perfect shot but I am already going trigger happy. I am having the best time with it! Now I hope to get some Italian street style shots, assuming people let me photograph them.
Anyway, last night me and my bf went on a total sushi binge with a very non-Japanese crepe flambe' as dessert...
With our stomachs full to the brim we walked to our usual tiny bar with the huge couches... The two Moldavian girls that run it have gotten to know us as their 'regulars'. Another reason I love this bar is that, being right in front of the Languages faculty of the university you see a lot of people from a lot of different countries (a big feat for this small italian city!).
After a bottle of amazing Georgian wine we walked home to try and burn off our enormous dinner.
this picture came out very un-artistic... I'm still learning how to take good photos in poor lighting.
I'm wearing two layered RO Lilies tank dresses, Rick Owens leather jacket and beat-up Superga sneakers.
I have changed the layout of the blog... This wider one is so much more comfortable and roomy(and allows for bigger pics)!!
How was your weekend?
