Mert and Marcus are my guilty pleasure photographers.
Why guilty, you may ask?

well, first of all I believe that they erase any trace of realism captured in photos...which hides any real skill (besides composition) they might have behind the lens.
Their end product is an intensely photoshopped, airbrushed, color tweaked hyper-real picture.

you know when you're getting dressed and a certain color really appeals to you right then? I opened my closet and this neon green AA shirt just jumped at me. I decorated my bag with a silk YSL scarf/foulard.

these photographs are GREAT. such gritty, slimy glamour. The gold CL/Rodarte pic is the most dramatic... seeing the sharp spikes upon the delicate flesh of the fish is quite unnerving.

Jalea Jalea is a jewelery label I just discovered. The jewelery is a mix between chunky, Marni-esque proportions and Natalia Brilli-type colors and materials... with Alex and Chloe prices! win-win situation.
The designer is also a fellow Mexicana like me so this makes her jewelery even cooler.
I've always had a soft spot for mexican jewelery, while I lived there I would get my fix at the market near the Zócalo (downtown). Whenever I had a free weekend, I would travel down to Taxco (a little city that thrives on its silver mines) and go nuts. Cheap, high quality silver!

Even though they were meant for a FW collection, they are PERFECT for a hot, scorching summer day, when even your skin seems to melt.

I am trying to be good and spend as little as possible, but when the balenciaga FW07 collection starts trickling in it is not good. I seriously have to stop opening this site. How perfect is this skirt?
I don't expect it to make it to sales but I am super glueing my fingers in the 'crossed' position.



such a statement piece but versatile.. I could wear this in the dead of winter with thick tights and boots or in a 40 degree celsius heatwave with a tiny tank and sandals. SHUGGA DADDY WHERE U AT???

me and the BF had fun with long exposures in a dimly-lit park at midnight. Here are the results.

30-second exposure=a very creepy/dreamlike ambiance..this area of the park was pitch black and it ended up looking like a surreal daylight in the photo.

Right now my obsession focuses on the perfect angular shoulder... not an easy feat for a designer. It gives a powerful punch to a clean silhouette.



so what about obtuse angles? nothing is impossible! I'm sure there is some crazy Mugler or Rabanne suit out there with obtuse-angled shoulders.

Happy day! I got my Nicholas Kirkwood shoes. They fit perfectly and are surprisingly comfortable despite the height. Here are a few pics I snapped while wearing them. I'm not too keen on the shorts+heels combo in general, but this is what I was wearing prior to putting them on for modeling pics.

The shoes are from the FW07 collection and very similar in shape to the ones NK designed for Phillip Lim FW07.

Here is a pic of the wooden chain necklace I got for 10 euros at the music festival. I love it!
