what's more insulting?

a.- the designer & label that thought a haphazardly snipped tee moth-eaten t-shirt was an appropriate thing to show on a runway

b.- the label that subsequently decided to put such a piece into "production" (I use the term very, very loosely)

c.- whoever decided on the price

d.- the retailers that picked it up

e.- the people that ACTUALLY BOUGHT THIS PIECE OF SHIT AT FULL PRICE

I hope Net-a-porter is including coupons for a complimentary psychiatric diagnosis in the package as well. Love that they bolded the word "cotton" in the description, to make sure the honest customers weren't tricked into thinking the fabric is made from spun unicorn pubes!!

Yeah, all of the above.

I wish this could be some sort of secret charity thing where all the profit (and this has got to generate some serious profit) goes to charity, but I know that's not how the fashion world works...

L - I know. I am not one to tell people that spend on luxury goods to donate those funds to charity but this is absolutely obscene... they **felt the need** to spend 1028 euro for a moth-eaten cotton t-shirt.

I guess it was too strenuous/less financially convenient to go to american apparel, buy a tee and cut it up?

You crack me up. This is hilarious, and I REALLY would like to know who would spend $1,400 on a holey shirt. Someone with too much money and not enough time to even cut holes in their shirts. Wow, looking like a bum can get expensive these days!

The whole thing is so despicable, I almost feel like the people who paid that much money for the wretched rag are their own punishment.
