Mert and Marcus are my guilty pleasure photographers. Why guilty, you may ask?well, first of all I believe that they erase any trace of realism captured in photos...which hides any real skill (besides composition) they might have behind the lens.Their end product is an intensely photoshopped, airbrushed, color tweaked hyper-real picture.which I love. I am a sucker for high contrast, juicy, saturated pics!! have you noticed?? (/sarcasm)
Miu Miu FW08 campaign:
I also have a soft spot for LaChapelle and Meisel... but don't tell anyone.
you know when you're getting dressed and a certain color really appeals to you right then? I opened my closet and this neon green AA shirt just jumped at me. I decorated my bag with a silk YSL scarf/foulard.
a few excerpts from Christian Louboutin's FW08.
In a recent interview with Danish magazine Cover the master of fetish-chic himself was asked about his impossibly high 16mm heels. He responded casually that they are meant to be walked on "only when getting in and out of the limo".
these photographs are GREAT. such gritty, slimy glamour. The gold CL/Rodarte pic is the most dramatic... seeing the sharp spikes upon the delicate flesh of the fish is quite unnerving.(credit to The_Ida from TFS for the CL quote)
Marni never fails to wow me with their jewelery. absolutely breathtaking.
I would wear this with a simple white t-shirt dress and gladiator sandals... Buy for me at Brownsfor £195.00.
I am a sucker for wierd sunglasses. They are an amazing statement piece that doesn't take itself too seriously. When you thought everything else had been done... Margiela incognito, Chanel half tint, Balenciaga bug eyes.. I give you Dutch designer Anna ter Haar's creation for Klavers van Engelen's FW08 collection.
Even though they were meant for a FW collection, they are PERFECT for a hot, scorching summer day, when even your skin seems to melt.
I am trying to be good and spend as little as possible, but when the balenciaga FW07 collection starts trickling in it is not good. I seriously have to stop opening this site. How perfect is this skirt?I don't expect it to make it to sales but I am super glueing my fingers in the 'crossed' position.
such a statement piece but versatile.. I could wear this in the dead of winter with thick tights and boots or in a 40 degree celsius heatwave with a tiny tank and sandals. SHUGGA DADDY WHERE U AT???
Right now my obsession focuses on the perfect angular shoulder... not an easy feat for a designer. It gives a powerful punch to a clean silhouette.
so what about obtuse angles? nothing is impossible! I'm sure there is some crazy Mugler or Rabanne suit out there with obtuse-angled shoulders.
Happy day! I got my Nicholas Kirkwood shoes. They fit perfectly and are surprisingly comfortable despite the height. Here are a few pics I snapped while wearing them. I'm not too keen on the shorts+heels combo in general, but this is what I was wearing prior to putting them on for modeling pics.
The shoes are from the FW07 collection and very similar in shape to the ones NK designed for Phillip Lim FW07.
Here is a pic of the wooden chain necklace I got for 10 euros at the music festival. I love it!
